A Prayer for Students

I feel called to post the Student‘s Prayer for all those engaged in academic endeavors. As the semester or year ends, one may want to also meditate on this verse from Jeremiah 29:  (Also a Good verse for those feeling lost, without purpose or trapped or in the captivity of Sin or in Bondage or some sort):

1 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. [b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Students Prayer:

God of Light and Truth,

thank you for giving me

a mind that can know

and a heart that can love.

Help me to keep learning every day of my life,

for all knowledge leads to you.

Let me be aware of your presence

in all things and at all times.

Encourage me when work is difficult

and when I am tempted to give up;

encourage me when my brain seems slow

and the way forward is difficult.

Grant me the grace to put my mind to use

exploring the world you have created,

confident that in you there a wisdom

that is real.

Amen.

Finally, I would like to post Psalm 23 (A Davidson Psalm of Hope and Praise, Direction and Protection):

Psalm 23
New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

May God Bless you give you the knowledge, wisdom strength, guidance and direction in the days to come.

In Christ,

Trent
